What is your “day job?”
I am an IT Helpdesk Technician.

Why did you become involved with GOTG?
I became involved because I am passionate about preserving and enhancing the beauty and community spirit of Cumberland Gap. This area brings my heart peace and embodies the kind of close-knit, supportive community you only thought existed in heartwarming movies. I wanted to contribute my skills and time to support initiatives that make a positive impact on our area.

What do you feel is the most exciting thing on the horizon for Cumberland Gap?
The most exciting thing on the horizon for Cumberland Gap is our continuing efforts in the revitalization of our historic downtown and the expansion of community-driven projects. These developments will not only preserve the town’s rich heritage but also create vibrant spaces for social gatherings and cultural events. It’s thrilling to see plans for new community areas, festivals, and local businesses that will enhance the quality of life and attract visitors, fostering a stronger, more connected community while highlighting the unique charm of our town.

What is your favorite activity to do in Cumberland Gap and why?
My favorite activity in Cumberland Gap is hiking through the scenic trails or walking my dog along the greenway and through this quaint historic town. The natural beauty and tranquility of the area provide a perfect escape and a wonderful way to stay active while enjoying the outdoors. Afterwards, I like to have lunch or dinner at one of our local restaurants, stop in our local shops to see what’s new, and enjoy a coffee while sitting by Gap Creek.
